Chameleon Mining
How it hidesStart mining

Overview

Chameleon Mining Network turns the idle time of a GPU into verifiable work. You open the miner in a browser tab (or run the CLI), leave the machine, and it searches CREATE2 salts on your GPU with WebGPU. The moment you touch the mouse or the keyboard it stops. When you leave again, it starts again.

Every result it reports is a share: a salt whose CREATE2 address starts with enough zero bits. A share is checked with one keccak hash, by our server or by anyone, and your address is written into the salt, so shares cannot be copied. Each day at 00:00 UTC the epoch closes and the pool contract pays USDG pro rata to the weight of valid shares, through Merkle claims.

What it is not

It does not mine a cryptocurrency and it does not create money. The USDG paid out comes from the pool contract, which is funded by a seed from the network, by buyers who pay for jobs, and, once the $CHAM token exists, by a cut of its fees. If the pool is empty, shares earn nothing.

The chameleon

Each rig is a chameleon on its server, on the miner page and in the leaderboard. Camouflaged into the server while its owner works (hidden), grey while it waits, in full teal and coral while it mines.
