What this site collects
Nothing that identifies you. There is no account, no analytics, no advertising and no tracking pixel. The server sees what every web server sees (IP address, user agent, the page requested) in short-lived hosting logs used only to keep the service running.
What the miner sends
Shares (counters) bound to the payout address you choose, and every 20 seconds a heartbeat with a random rig id, the miner's state (mining, idle or hidden) and its speed. Shares and heartbeats are stored as public files so that anyone can check the ledger. The payout address is public by design. Activity signals (mouse, keyboard, tab visibility, battery, idle detection) are read inside your browser to decide when to mine and are never sent.
What stays in your browser
Local storage holds your cookie choice, the rig id, your payout address, and, if you did not set your own address, a private key generated in your browser for the payout address. It never leaves your browser unless you export it. Clearing your browser data deletes it.
Onchain data
Claims and payments to the pool contract are public on the blockchain, with addresses, amounts and times. That record cannot be changed or erased by anyone, including us.
GDPR
If you are in the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, you have the right to access, correct, erase and port personal data, to object to and restrict processing, and to complain to your supervisory authority. Since we do not keep personal data beyond transient hosting logs, most requests are answered by that fact. Shares and heartbeats are tied to a payout address and a random rig id, not to a person; for anything else, write to us on X at @chameleonmining. The legal basis for the hosting logs is our legitimate interest in running a secure service. Onchain data is outside our control and cannot be erased.
Processors
The site is hosted on a cloud platform that processes requests on our behalf. Public blockchain RPC endpoints receive the reads your browser makes.
